Frank Fletcher was highly recommended to me by Curtis Cramblett during a bike fit that allowed me to identify, as the source of some technical issues, specific physical problems. In my first appointment with Frank, I underwent a thorough interview and a complete physical assessment, in order to pinpoint the cause of those biomechanical problems. Frank subsequently established a workout plan with weekly meetings involving myofascial release and the learning of new core exercises aiming at targeting muscle groups that were previously under-stimulated or even atrophied facilitating, in the process, the recovery of the muscle groups more prone to overuse. Ultimately, the whole practice seeks to achieve a more balance body, while providing the athlete the adequate tools to develop responsible and efficient training skills. From the beginning, I was very impressed with his deep scientific knowledge in human biology and his systematic method of training, aiming at injury prevention and improving athletic performance, in a long term approach. With each session, I was even more impressed by Frank's attention to detail and his ability to immediately incorporate my feedback from the difficulties observed during the execution of the exercises in the previous week into a new alternative strategy. Soon after the start of my appointment with Frank, I was very pleased to realise the success of his plan patent in the changes that I could observe in my body and the enhancement in my fitness and overall heath. In conclusion, Frank embodies the ultimate professional in human performance, representing the perfect overlap between a physical therapist and a professional trainer. Moreover, he is very respectful of the athlete's limitations, and his relaxed nature promotes the communication between himself and the trainee, which is crucial for the whole process. In all of this, I have learned that Frank is an excellent professional and the best investment for an athlete seeking to enjoy sports practice as a lifestyle. In order words, the dude is cool and totally legit. Sincerely, Carlos Melo (PhD candidate, Stanford University Triathlon Team) |
